- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water, drain the rest, and keep warm.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
- Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Reduce heat to low, add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water, stirring together for 1-2 minutes to create sauce.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle parsley and Parmesan cheese on top, and toss gently to combine.
- Serve warm, optionally drizzling more olive oil or Parmesan cheese on top.
