  • 4 oz Pepperoni Sliced; can replace with any cured sausage.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano can be used as an alternative.
For the Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar Or apple cider vinegar/lemon juice.
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil Any neutral oil can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be substituted.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Or Italian seasoning/oregano.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Honey or agave can be used for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground is best.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, layer shredded hearts of romaine, then add salami, provolone cheese, mozzarella balls, cucumber, red pepper, pepper rings, and white onion. Mix the ingredients for a colorful salad.
  2. Sprinkle with black pepper and dried basil, toss gently, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, dried basil, and brown sugar. Refrigerate to let flavors meld.
  4. Before serving, toss the salad with the prepared dressing or serve on the side.
