Preparation Steps
  1. Gather all ingredients needed for the salad.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine granulated sugar, sesame seeds, crushed garlic, and chopped green onion. Mix well.
  3. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, Chinese chili oil, and sesame oil to the bowl and whisk until smooth.
  4. Trim both ends of each cucumber and prepare for spiralizing.
  5. Spiralize the cucumbers into curly spirals.
  6. Place spiralized cucumbers in a large bowl, sprinkle with salt, and massage for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Rinse the cucumbers under cold water to remove excess salt and drain well.
  8. Pour the prepared marinade over the cucumbers and toss until coated.
  9. Allow the salad to marinate for about 15-30 minutes before serving.
