Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth in a large bowl.
  4. Mix in the beaten egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced 2-3 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Press nine pastel M&Ms into each cookie immediately after removing from oven.
