Method
 

Instructions
  1. Combine garlic powder, onion powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add black beans (with liquid) to the skillet and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning blend over the beans and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and mash the beans to desired consistency.
  7. Remove from heat, stir well, and serve immediately.
