Step-by-Step Instructions for Roasted Garlic Dip
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take a whole head of garlic, slice off the top to expose the cloves, and wrap it in aluminum foil. Roast the garlic in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the cloves are soft, caramelized, and fragrant. Allow it to cool slightly before handling.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup of mayonnaise. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy wooden spoon to blend until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves into the bowl with the cream cheese and mayonnaise mixture. Add 1 teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning, with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly until creamy.
  4. Fold in 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese to the mixture, ensuring even distribution without overmixing.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Transfer the Roasted Garlic Dip to a serving bowl. Garnish with extra Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired. Serve with crunchy vegetables, pita chips, or artisan crackers.
