Method
 

Steps to Prepare
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard evenly across the rolled pastry.
  4. Layer the slices of ham and shredded cheddar cheese over the mustard-coated pastry.
  5. Carefully roll the pastry tightly from one long edge to the other, forming a log shape.
  6. Wrap the rolled pastry log in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 15 to 30 minutes.
  7. Slice the chilled log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush each pinwheel with an egg wash for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm.
