Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together warm water, yeast, and brown sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add salt and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Gradually incorporate flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 30-40 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into small sections, roll into ropes, and shape into bunnies.
  5. Boil 8 cups of water and stir in baking soda. Dip each pretzel in the boiling water for 15-20 seconds.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush each pretzel with plant milk and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
