  1. In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, pour in 1 quart of whole milk and heat over medium heat, stirring to prevent scorching until it reaches 195°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and 3/4 teaspoon salt.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt 1/2 cup salted butter over medium heat.
  4. When the milk reaches 195°F, stir the flour mixture into the melted butter to create a thick paste.
  5. Gradually add the paste to the heated milk while stirring constantly. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring often until it thickens.
  6. Spoon the warm Rømmegrøt into bowls, drizzle with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
