Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Season with salt, then add chopped broccoli. Cook for 3-5 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain and let steam dry.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and let rest on a paper towel.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add minced garlic to the bacon drippings. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water; pour into skillet and stir until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the drained broccoli and crispy bacon back to the skillet. Gently toss for 2-3 minutes to coat the broccoli with garlic sauce.
  5. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
